Migrating Evolution to Thunderbird

Lately I missed Thunderbird that I used when I was still using windows. I have been using Evolution ever since I install Ubuntu.Evolution is a great mail client, but it still can’t defeat the awesome plug-ins that Thunderbird has.

Ubuntu geek posted a good article on how to migrate your Evolution emails to Thunderbird.

Some word of caution, uninstalling evolution will uninstall quite a number of useful ubuntu component, such as the GNOME panel. There has been quite number of people posted in Ubuntu forums and launchpad reporting this problem. There is a simple guide on how to reinstall the GNOME panel in the ubuntu community’s evolution documentation.

It feels so good to have Thunderbird again.
